Sergios tree iron shot

This week at Arnold Palmer Invitational has been another exciting couple of days of golf.  The Arnold Palmer Invitational is the event put on by the King himself, Arnold Palmer, in  Orlando, Florida.  Every year it hosts some of the biggest names in golf; like Tiger Woods, Rickie Fowler, Zack Johnson, and Graeme McDowell.  All week big time players have been hitting great shots. The best of these came earlier today when the 16th best golfer in the world, Sergio Garcia, hit his tee shot in a tree.  Sergio decided to climb up into the tree to identify his ball.  Once he identified his ball he decided to hit it out instead of taking a penalty.  After a couple minutes of looking for the best awkward stance possible, he hit the ball one handed and backwards.  Then he jumped 8 feet to go ground to go hit his next shot that was sitting perfectly in the fairway.  Sergio double bogeyed the hole.

I think this is one of the craziest and most dangerous shots I have seen.  It worked out very well for Sergio, but it was really risky.  He could've fallen from the tree, not hit the ball well, or even hit himself with it.  I think it was a good risk to take because he knew he was capable of the shot.  Shots like these are what I think makes golf so fun and exciting.  Anything can happen on a golf course.
